You can't tell in the picture, but the white part of the card is what opens. The black piece is just a mat. I could have made a black card base and written with the white gel pen, but this just made it a bit different.

I used the same layout for my Thank You cards, but wanted to punch it up with some color in lieu of the black ribbon. I made this flower using the 5 Petal Punch and Trio Flower Punch, along with the Little Leaves Sizzlet Die.

The middle layer of the flower was made with the 5 Petal Punch. Punch the flower and attach it to a piece of scrap paper with Dotto. Then punch the flower again but turn it so the petals are cut in two (see picture below). Now you have another type of flower to play with. You can do the same thing with the Trio Flower punch. Try it - you'll like it!
Until next time!
Thanks so much for the picture of the second punched flower. I have that punch and will make some of those for sure.
ReplyDeleteGreat tip! I love getting more use out of my punches! I will definitely try this! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks again for the inspiration with the 5-Petal Flower Punch. I used this tip for a project with my Stamp Club this month and they loved it! http://juliedavison.blogspot.com/2010/05/island-oasis-favor-boxes.html
